Fortnite: Battle Royale – The favourite multiplayer’s competitive mode arrived, and gamers are in joy! Epic games announced Solo Showdown with a limited time mode live in the game at the moment. However, if you don’t know about Fortnite yet, its a similar game like Counter-Strike (Different concept though). Jump into an island with 100 players without an effective weapon, collect weapons, kill everyone and stand alone. This new scored mode allows more challenging environment as winning can get massive V-Buck rewards for the players who win.

“We’ll be using the Solo Showdown as a one-off stepping stone to learn how to build great events for all types of players. If you crave testing and improving your own skills, give it a try and let us know what you think. To thank you for participating, play 50 games and get a unique spray.

Battle Royale: Solo Showdown is Fortnite’s first competitive mode. The mode runs through May 21 at 10:00 AM EST.
Here are the massive rewards
- 1st Place: 50,000 V-Bucks
- 2nd – 4th Place: 25,000 V-Bucks
- 5th – 50th Place: 13,500 V-Bucks
- 51st – 100th Place: 7,500 V-Bucks
Simple and straightforward scoring system determines these rankings. You will get points depending on your standing and the player with most points after 50 games are the winner with this fantastic reward that is worth around $500. Claiming Victory Royale in a qualifying Solo Showdown match will earn you 100 placement points, second place will get you 94, and the points steadily drop down to a minimum of 25 points for players 76 through 100. Total wins, total eliminations, and average placement will be factored in to break placement point ties if necessary. Epic’s site has the full rules rundown.
